what the fuck’s so wrong with Nickelback that people hate on them so much. seems to me like most people just hate em cos its a trend more than hating them for an actual valid reason.. cause seriously. i really dont get it.
Finally! This is, so far, the best cupcake place in NYC! I went here with my aunt, who is visiting from Indonesia - hence the trip to Magnolia.
When I came in, I noticed that they served several cupcake-sized cheesecakes, which looked better than the normal cupcakes, so my aunt and I had those instead. I had the Red Velvet Cheesecake, while my aunt had the Cinnamon Crumb Cake.
The Red Velvet Cheesecake was really nice! But I do especially like the oreo crumbs on the bottom and the creamy cream and chocolate bits on top better than the actual cheesecake. The cake part of the cake (lol) is really gooey, which is in a good way, but the taste itself is kind of odd. I would order this again in the future, but I’d rather try something else.
The Cinnamon Crumb Cake was extraordinarily delicious! I’m sad that I only had a bite. I recall that it was a little cheesy, cinnamon-y (obviously), and nutty.
I’ll definitely post some more foodpr0n pics of the cupcakes from Magnolia if ever I come back (FAT FAT CHANCE!), so visit Tasteritos as much as possible!
You know, I had trouble writing about this place. Not because this place sucks or anything. On the contrary, the food we had here was so good I wanted to skip past the introductory write-up and go right to the pictures. Ok, I’ll go right to the pictures!
Okay so this was the Blueberry Cheesecake (only P85.00) which my sister ordered. It was really good, but this kind of cheesecake is really standard. So…yeah. But it’s good, though.
YES. I ordered the Cookie Caramel Cheesecake (only P65.00) and OH. MY. GOD. This one was superb. It was SOOO delicious. Instead of describing the cheesecake, I thought I would show you instead. So, dear readers, I present to you: The Anatomy of a DULGIES Cookie Caramel Cheesecake.
I think my favourite part of the cheesecake was the base. It was very crunchy and it just didn’t taste like your regular graham cracker base. But practically everything about this cheesecake was delicious.
Anyways, other than desserts, Dulgies also serves pasta and sandwiches, so I’m going to try those the next time I go (and I’ll definitely try the other cakes, too). Oh! I almost forgot. We bought a Chocolate Chip Cookie (P48.00) for the road, and it was good, but there wasn’t really anything special about it.
Dulgies can be found across SM Delgado, beside BPI and…I can’t remember. I think it was Ted’s. :D If ever you’re in Iloilo, my suggestion, go to Dulgies ASAP.
Later tater! Patricia
sister: ME. yeah I had the blueberry cheescake. was dense and creamy..NOT commercialized. but I liked the cookie caramel thing better. :D
